In school, we remain as vigilant as ever. We are protecting our staff, children and families by maintaining bubble arrangements.
Our staff are still doing regular testing and we ask that families consider doing the same. From today, we have asked staff to wear face coverings when they move out of their bubble room. We ask that adults who need to come into school also wear face coverings whilst there is concern over the new variant. Thank you.
We will keep our bubble arrangements for the foreseeable future, and we monitor Covid cases each day.
We will still send home children if they are unwell, in line with Leeds policy. If they have Covid symptoms, we will ask you to book a PCR test, in line with the Government guidance as shown below. If we ask you to collect your child, you must come as soon as possible as they will be isolated from their class whilst they wait for you.
When do children need to isolate?
Children need to self-isolate if they have any of these 3 symptoms of COVID-19, even if they are mild:
If your child has any of the above, they should self-isolate straight away and get a PCR test (a test that is sent to the lab) on GOV.UK as soon as possible.
Children should also self-isolate if:
If they develop symptoms or get a positive LFD test, they should book a PCR test.
Once again, thank you for your patience. Here is a link to the government website if you need more information:
