When should I keep my child at home?

26 March 2021 (by admin)

The following guidance may be of help to you

The DfE have advised us that children must not come to school if they are unwell or have any Covid-like symptoms.

Covid-like symptoms that require you to keep your child at home:

  • feeling unwell, cough, cold, sore throat, runny nose
  • siblings may come to school if they are feeling well and have no symptoms

Actual Covid symptoms that require you to book a PCR test for your child (not a lateral flow):

  • a temperature over 37.8
  • a continuous cough that does not stop and has lasted more than an hour
  • loss of taste or smell

If you are unsure please ask us. Thank you for your support in helping us to reduce risk of Covid infection.
