Basic Information

We hope that this section of the website gives basic information that is important to all parents and Carers. A paper copy of any information on our website is available from school, please contact our Administration Team should you require this support, although we must advise that the website is updated regularly and paper copies will soon become out of date.

We value links with Parents and Carers and believe that it is through strong partnership that we are able to make the best provision for children. We promote home school links in many ways. We think it is important that Parents and Carers have a good understanding of their children's learning levels. Through regular and systematic homework and sharing of learning progress and targets we know that our children are well supported. We share levels at formal Parent Consultation Evenings and in Annual Reports to Parents. We celebrate learning through events such as Gold Book assembly and annual Evidence of Learning Day. We encourage Parents and Carers to support in school on a voluntary basis as often as possible. Parents can help in so many different ways:

  • Taking an interest in your child’s work at school

  • Giving opportunities for your child to learn at home

  • Praising your child

  • Ensuring regular attendance

  • Supporting our discipline policy

  • Helping children in school

  • Attending meetings

  • Listening to your child read regularly at home

  • Helping during educational visits

  • Supporting your Parent Teacher Association
