What a way to end the half term!

In Maths the children have been busy investigating subtraction and addition in maths for the past two weeks and have now started thinking about using these new skills to calculate money.
We have had a very exciting couple of weeks planning instructions and writing them. This week we have made some spooky sandwiches with some interesting fillings such as; vampire blood, stewed pumpkin, ghost slime and boil bat spread. The children enjoyed following the instructions and eating their sandwiches.
Thank you to everybody that came to parents evening I hope that gave you an insight into what happens into year 1 and if you have anymore questions please feel free to come and see me.
WOW! How amazing do all the superheros look today! We have discussed all of their powers and the things that they can't do it YET .
I look forward to seeing you all after half term.

You certainly have had a busy half term! I know that the children have really taken to the growth mindset theme, and they enjoyed dressing as superhero characters. I like the creative approach to sandwich making, and the way in which this promoted writing skills. Thank you to Miss Gairn and your team. Mrs Jackson.
