Last days of Receptiom
Posted: Jul 23, 2017 by: france on: France Blog welcome!
The Year has been so action packed the children have been amazing and have all been ready for any challenges set. Last week they were able to develop the use of an Estimation station. They selected different amounts of counting objects and working alongside their peers they were able to estimate how many they had. The children enjoyed challenging each other.
On Friday the children were able to watch live music performed by Mr Hammond and his band. The children joined in with some of the songs they knew and danced to others. What an amazing treat.
Next week will be the children's last week of school. School will close on Tuesday 25th July and we will return to school on Tuesday 5th September.
In English the children will have the opportunity to talk about what they have enjoyed about being in Reception. They will also think ahead to Year 1.
In Maths we will focus on numbers looking mainly at adding and subtracting.
I would like to thank all parents/carers for your continued support during this year. What a fantastic year it has been and I wish the children every success in year 1.
Have a relaxing Summer.
Regards Bev Gelder
