Autumn is here!

Posted: Nov 8, 2016 by: france on: France Blog welcome!

The children have had a great time using magnifiers to look at conkers and cones.  They have also looked closely at how they grow understanding that the prickles are there to protect the fruit. They have observed different leaves collected and have been able to describe them developing an understanding of how they change when they fall. This week we have started reading "Squirrel's Autumn Search" by Anita Loughrey and Daniel Howard. The children have enjoyed finding out each day where the squirrel hides his nuts and the different foods he eats. When you are out and about please encourage your child to describe what they see and the signs of Autumn.

Thank you for continued support

Bev Dean
