Our Children's Newsround
Our team interviewed 26 children on the topic of being safe and happy.
Joe found out that children feel safe and happy in school because they know that teachers will help them with their problems. Hanifa found out that one child said that he likes school because there is lots of equipment in the playground. She also found out one child said we should look out for the little ones as well as the big ones at playtime in case something happens to them.
Lima found out that a child said this school is a good place and he is happy. Armani found out that one of his friends is happy and safe because the school gates are secure. Daisy found out that teachers sort out problems when there is something wrong.
According to our research, we think that most people are happy and safe in this school.
Our Newsround Reporters are Joe, Hanifa, Liam, Armani and Daisy. In assembly today, we talked about them and about the important job they will be doing. They will have to find out what children think about our school and then write reports to share the ideas.
This afternoon, they had their first Newsround meeting - they were given special badges to wear in school. Their first job is to find out what children like about our school.
